This article analyzes the legal status, tasks, and significance of the Constitutional Oversight Committee, a special body carrying out constitutional oversight in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and the role and significance of the Constitutional Oversight Committee in public administration, as well as its organizational and legal basis. The role of this body is widely covered in such tasks as ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution, which is the fundamental law of the state, implementing the principle of separation of powers, and monitoring the compliance of laws and regulatory legal acts with the Constitution. The article also provides a comparative analysis of the organizational and legal foundations necessary to ensure the independence and effectiveness of the institution of constitutional control, as well as international practice.
